  • Documents: Files you upload (operating agreements, formation documents, tax filings, etc.)
  • Payment Information: Billing details processed securely through third-party payment processors (we do not store full credit card numbers)

When you access the Service, we automatically collect:

  • Usage Data: Pages viewed, features used, time spent, interactions with the Service

We do NOT sell your personal or business information to third parties. Period.

3.1 Service Providers

We work with trusted third-party vendors who help us operate Sentinel:

  • Supabase: Database and file storage (encrypted)
  • Vercel: Website hosting and delivery
  • Email Service Providers: Transactional emails and notifications
  • Payment Processors: Subscription billing (they do not share payment data with us)

These providers are contractually obligated to protect your data and only use it to provide services to us.

3.2 Legal Requirements

We may disclose your information if required by law, court order, or government request, or to protect our rights, property, or safety.

3.3 Business Transfers

If Sentinel is acquired or merged with another company, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you before this happens.

3.4 With Your Consent

We may share information with other parties when you explicitly give us permission to do so (for example, if you authorize us to share data with your CPA or attorney).

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data:

However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your data, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

5. Data Retention

We retain your information for as long as:

  • Your account is active
  • Needed to provide services to you
  • Required by law or for legitimate business purposes (e.g., resolving disputes, enforcing agreements)

When you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal data within 30 days, unless we are required to retain it for legal reasons. Backup copies may persist for up to 90 days.

6. Your Rights and Choices

You can access, download, and export your data at any time through your account settings.

6.2 Correction

You can update or correct your information directly in the Service.

6.3 Deletion

You can request deletion of your account and all associated data by contacting info@compliantco.com.

You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time. Note that we will still send transactional emails (e.g., password resets, deadline notifications) that are necessary for the Service.

6.5 California Residents (CCPA)

If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including the right to request information about data collection, deletion, and to opt-out of sales (though we do not sell your data).

6.6 European Residents (GDPR)
